We've been adopted - May 2011
That is right - the whole family was adopted by this beautiful gray
kitty. He moved into our gazebo and begged to come into the
house until we found his owner...who was happy to be rid of him...
and in he moved. We have named him Charlie, and he is the most
wonderful cat any of us have ever known. He even won over the
crusty old cat Iggy, as well as Lucy, and Ciara.

Sam Conducts the Grand Rapids Symphony - February 2011
This was such a treat. I had never listened to the GR Symphony
before, and to have my 11 year old son do the conducting was
amazing. Sam was cool, collected, and had no fear at all.

Freezing Temps - February 2011
Bitter cold day, yet it looks rather warm with the sun out. It was hard
to last more than a few minutes with the strong wind blowing
across six feet of thick ice covering lake Michigan. After taking
this photo I could no longer feel my fingers.

Angus retires from the Bassoon - January 2011
Sadly, if you are not in marching band, there is little to no curriculum
in band at some high schools during marching band season. To do
scales for 9 weeks is demoralizing to say the least, and is reflected in
Angus' countenance. This was his last band concert.
