This is an older style lens that was used extensively by journalist. It is still in production which tells
you something about it's quality.
Last I checked (about 1-2 years ago) a new one will set you back
$650-800 dollars. I found a mint used copy for $350. Compared
to the price of the newer 28-70mm
f2.8 or the latest 24-70 f2.8 - it is a bargin. Lens is smaller than the 28-70mm f2.8. If you are on
a
budget - Get this lens! Sharp, good contrast and color... best value and quality for the money you
could possibly have in this focal range
